Job Description Louis Dreyfus Company ('LDC') is recruiting to expand the Trainer Trainee program within North America, and is looking for postsecondary new graduates eager to help the company expand their global business. As an LDC Trader Trainee, you will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to purchase, sell, and trade physical commodities in global markets to maximize profitability. In this growth role you will have direct access to senior traders and managers in an open working environment designed to encourage the free flow of ideas and information. You will work sidebyside with the experts in our company. All learning is relevant, practical, and handson. This onthejob training demands a wide range of skills, including the knowledge and use of statistical information, particularly supply/demand economics, and quantitative analysis. You will also become part of a broader network of Trader Trainees and gain experience through our Global Learning Academy which includes but is not limited to virtual training and learning modules, executive introductions and exposure, regional mentors, research within new markets/commodities, offsite meetings and tours, etc. We teach our Trader Trainee the skills necessary to become knowledgeable in agricultural commodity market fundamentals including: - Understanding the physical flow of commodities in both domestic and export markets - Negotiating and mitigating risk - Identifying market trends and positions - Providing value added market and positioning insights - Ensuring optimization of product quality - Leveraging analytics tools and processes while staying on top of market research and movements Experience - Bachelors degree in agricultural economics, economics, finance, or mathematics - Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills - Able to act decisively, think critically, and see the long game - Resourceful, creative, versatile, and able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment - Detailoriented, strong organizational skills, and genuine interest in learning about trading physical commodities - Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data - Exposure to data analysis tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL, Boomer, etc would be considered an asset - Proficiency with spreadsheet and wordprocessing software (e.g., Excel and MS Word) - Open to relocation both domestically and internationally Additional Information What We Offer We provide a dynamic and stimulating international environment, which will stretch and develop your abilities and channel your skills and expertise with outstanding career development opportunities in one of the largest and most solid private companies in the world. - Comprehensive benefits program including extended health care and dental coverage, employee and family assistance program, life insurance and disability coverage - Retirement Savings Plan with employer contributions and matching - Paid vacation, paid sick time, and paid statutory holidays Diversity & Inclusion LDC is driven by a set of shared values and high ethical standards, with diversity and inclusion being part of our DNA.
