About the Role This role leads ANCAs Health & Safety strategy, governance, and performance across all entities while providing practical, onsite leadership to our Australia site. Youll set frameworks and policies, standardise risk methodologies, oversee incident escalation and investigations, and uplift capability through datadriven insights, training, and coaching. Expect high executive visibility and real influence on how safety is lived every day. Key Responsibilities - Set and maintain groupwide H&S strategy, frameworks, and policies - Ensure governance, audits, compliance, and consolidated board reporting - Define enterprise risks and implement effective controls and monitoring. - Lead serious incident investigations and enterprise escalation/response - Use data to identify trends, systemic risks, and improvement priorities - Coach leaders to model safety behaviours and embed a strong safety culture - Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate multijurisdiction compliance - Engage stakeholders (executives, OHS committees, regulators, suppliers) - Deliver global safety induction standards; support local induction at AMT - Provide practical operational support at AMT: hazard ID, risk controls, SOPs, 5S - Build capability via training, toolbox talks, mentoring, and documentation - Maintain accurate, timely safety data and ensure closeout of actions Essential Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or similar is essential - Significant H&S leadership in industrial/manufacturing environments - Deep knowledge of Australian OHS legislation, standards, and compliance - Proven incident investigation, RCA, and corrective/preventive action delivery - Strong analytical skills with safety data, metrics, and reporting - Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder engagement skills - Selfstarter with strong planning, prioritisation, and followthrough - Australian Work Rights required Preferred Skills - Professional safety certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) - Cert IV in Training & Assessment - Multisite and international exposure; regulator liaison experience - Knowledge of HAZCHEM compliance - Advanced Excel/PowerPoint; familiarity with safety systems/incident platforms Salary & Benefits The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
