My law firm has more than doubled in size over the past two years, and I have opened offices in Chilliwack and Surrey. I am looking for a recent call to deal with legal aid family files as well as litigation matters in other areas of law, typically criminal and corporate commercial. The associate lawyer will be responsible for his own files, primarily legal aid family, though he will also assist in other litigation matters, including criminal and corporate/commercial files. He will be required to represent herself as an associate, take full conduct of the files, and go to court if needed. The firm has been expanding rapiidly, so the future is hard to foresee. But, the way its developing, the associates are starting off in legal aid and, over time, progressing to more complex private litigation files. This would therefore be suitable for a junior lawyer who wants to get training in litigation while developing his client base. The candidate MUST have a license to practice in BC or be able to get one shortly.
