Your New Role As the firms dedicated Wills & Estates (Probate) Law Clerk, you will take full carriage of estate administration files from beginning to end. You will serve as a key resource for estate trustees, guiding them through the probate process and ensuring all estate accounting is accurate, compliant, and wellorganized. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and drafting probate applications (Certificates of Appointment of Estate Trustee, with or without a Will) Serving as the primary contact for estate trustees, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and related parties Drafting wills and other estate planning documents under lawyer supervision Preparing and assembling estate accounts, including reconciliations and supporting documentation Managing file timelines, deadlines, and communications independently Maintaining highly organized electronic files and leveraging strong technology skills to streamline processes Ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism on every file What Youll Need to Succeed 715 years of experience as a Wills & Estates Law Clerk, with strong probate and estate administration expertise Ability to independently draft all probate applications from start to finish Experience drafting wills and related estate planning documents Strong understanding of estate accounting and the ability to prepare or assemble complete estate accounts High degree of professionalism and comfort working directly with estate trustees and beneficiaries Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage files autonomously Strong technology skills and experience working digitally A calm, composed approach when navigating sensitive, emotional, or complex family dynamics What Youll Get in Return Base salary: $110,000$125,000 4 weeks of vacation Unlimited sick days Benefits fully covered by the firm 2 remote working days per week A stable, supportive environment with genuinely collegial colleagues The opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a wellestablished estates practice Independence, trust, and a predictable, manageable workload Exposure to sophisticated estate matters within a boutique setting
