LEGAL COUNSEL Construction & Nuclear Projects (Remote, GTA) Greater Toronto Area (Remote) $110,000 $140,000 Base + Bonus + Stock Options + Pension + Full Benefits Join a Legal Team Supporting Canadas Most Complex Infrastructure & Nuclear Projects! A major North American engineering and infrastructure organization is seeking a Legal Counsel to support large-scale nuclear construction and infrastructure projects across Canada . This is a remote role based in the Greater Toronto Area working closely with project leadership, commercial teams, and external counsel on complex construction contracts, procurement strategies, and dispute management. If youre a construction lawyer, infrastructure lawyer, or project contracts lawyer looking to transition into a high-impact in-house legal role supporting major engineering and nuclear megaprojects , this is an excellent opportunity. What Youll Do: Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts, project agreements, design agreements, subcontracts, and supply agreements Support projects across Bid-Build, Design-Build, EPC, Alliance, and Joint Venture frameworks Provide legal and commercial advice to project managers, engineers, and business leaders Identify legal and commercial risks in project contracts and provide practical mitigation strategies Support procurement, tendering, and construction dispute management Liaise with and manage external counsel on litigation, arbitration, mediation, and adjudication matters Assist with development of contract templates and legal documentation for project teams Provide legal support across the entire project lifecycle bid phase through project execution and close-out Assist with corporate governance processes including risk committee and board approvals Required Qualifications: Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (or eligible jurisdiction) 57 years post-call legal experience Experience with construction law, infrastructure law, contract law, or project procurement law Familiarity with Design-Build, EPC, Alliance, or infrastructure procurement frameworks Experience handling construction disputes, claims, or litigation management Ability to interpret complex contracts, legislation, and legal documentation Strong drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment skills Preferred Experience: Legal experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, energy, or nuclear sectors Knowledge of public infrastructure procurement, project finance, or major capital projects Experience working with engineering, project management, or commercial teams Why This Role Stands Out: Work on nationally significant nuclear and infrastructure megaprojects Remote role within the GTA with strong work-life balance Competitive compensation including bonus, stock purchase plan, pension, and benefits Work closely with engineering and project leadership on complex project development Opportunity to build expertise in nuclear infrastructure and large-scale construction law Compensation & Benefits: $110,000 $140,000 Base Salary Annual Bonus (STIP) Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Deferred Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP) Comprehensive Benefits Package 3 Weeks Vacation + Holiday Shutdown PTO Tuition Reimbursement Interested candidates are encouraged to apply or connect directly for more details!
