York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse - Haematology/Oncology Inpatient Unit RNA The closing date is 19 March 2026 The Haematology/Oncology Inpatient Unit is an 18bedded unit for the care of patients with haematology and oncology malignancies. We administer highintensity chemotherapy and support patients with the side effects of their illness and the treatments involved. We provide a 24hour triage service for our patients at home who may need urgent medical care. It is an extremely busy and exciting place to work, and it can be emotional, but there is a chance to make a real difference in patients and their relatives' lives. As a Band 6 you will coordinate the care of our patients, working closely with consultants, therapists, palliative care and the wider MDT. You will answer triage line calls and ensure the patient is assessed and treated swiftly and appropriately. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person who will be able to demonstrate high standards of clinical practice and work well within our established team.
