Position Overview This role is located in Windsor, Ontario, and works at the Windsor Consumer Health site offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the pharmaceutical and consumer health industries. Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Automation Project Manager plans, executes, and delivers automation and process simplification projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. The Role Identify opportunities within the manufacturing plant for enhanced automation to reduce costs, increase repeatability, and significantly improve quality and compliance. Own and manage the programming of all vision, PLC, and recipebased process equipment, ensuring products are qualified for launch and maintained throughout the product life cycle. Prepare and issue requests for quotation and scope of work documents. Provide guidance within projects to ensure final products meet stakeholder requirements and applicable regulations. Create and execute validation documents on equipment and facilities under GMP documentation practices, including the change management system. Provide timely, formal, and professional updates on project statusscope, schedule, and budgetto stakeholders and senior management. Work extended hours and weekends as needed, especially when problems occur or deadlines must be met. Perform other duties as assigned. Candidate Qualifications Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project engineering/management. Experience and familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing and relevant GMP practices, project deliverables, scheduling concepts (critical path), and equipment specifications/testing. Strong verbal and written communication skills and technical writing ability. CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Cadkey) and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) are assets. Knowledge of general construction processes, ESA approvals, PSR events, TSSA regulations, and building codes is an asset. Understanding of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) and ability to provide credential evaluation for nonCanadian qualifications via the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) such as WES. Manual dexterity and the ability to sit, use hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation. Capacity for standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, with close vision and occasional exposure to chemicals. Pay The final salary offered may vary within the range of $75,000 $96,000 and will depend on several factors including experience, industry, skillset, education, and business needs.
