SOCAN Foundation seeks postsecondary music production students to provide training and coaching to music creators virtually on music production software (Logic or Ableton), assist with programming support of SOCAN Foundation programs such as the Equity X Production program, and perform simple marketing support tasks. What Youll Do / Key Responsibilities Tutor music creators virtually oneonone or in small groups with music production software Engage with new technologies and software to explore new ways of creating and producing music Assist with social media content to educate music creators about production Provide feedback and advice to the SOCAN Foundation on future programming to support artists in Canada Attend weekly team meetings with SOCAN Foundation Perform other tasks as required What You Will Bring / Qualifications & Experience Currently enrolled in a music program at a Canadian university or college Training with music production software (Logic or Ableton) Comfortable tutoring others in a virtual format on music production software Knowledge of music theory and experience with production software Strong communication and teamwork skills Openminded and able to take feedback Ability to use social media Organized and reliable A portfolio of your music work will be required Experience teaching or coaching is an asset Accessibility & Accommodation SOCAN is committed to providing an inclusive workplace environment that meets the accessibility needs of employees with disabilities.
