Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Appium Mobile Automation Tester to join our QEA Team for a permanent position. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks for mobile applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery across multiple concurrent releases, to ensure high-quality mobile applications. In this role, you will - Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile test automation frameworks. - Create and execute automated test scripts for iOS and Android applications. - Execute manual and automated tests across mobile platforms to ensure application quality and reliability. - Test applications on different devices, browsers, screen sizes, and OS versions. - Perform API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools for mobile app backend services. - Identify, analyze, and report defects effectively, and work collaboratively to resolve issues. - Work closely with developers and other QA team members to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure continuous quality improvement. Required skills - Overall 5 to 7 years of IT experience focused on QA software testing with strong handson experience with automation testing mobile applications. - Minimum of 3 years experience in Appium testing. - The last 3-5 years should have been in Web and Mobile testing using Selenium Web Driver and Appium. - Must have experience in mobile testing and setting up automation frameworks. - Design, implement, and deliver scalable, maintainable, configurable and robust test automation frameworks. - Ability to analyze and translate requirements and development stories into test scripts to ensure complete test coverage. - Should have good knowledge of continuous integration tools like Jenkins. - Knowledge of mobile browser automation. - Knowledge of mobile testing using mobile devices. - Thorough understanding of the defect lifecycle process and industry standard defect tracking tools. - Experience with test management tools like JIRA, JTMF. Preferred skills - Insurance Domain exposure. - Experience implementing test frameworks from scratch for mobile and/or web. Total compensation We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD70,00090,000per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other businessrelated and jobnecessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizants discretionary annual performancebased bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing. Based on this roles business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, province.
