**Job Title: Solderer Assembler** **Shift:** Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM **Pay rate:** $ /hr **Location:** Burnaby, BC **Job Description** As a Solderer Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components, including complex and high-density projects, while adhering to assembly books, custom specifications, and quality standards. You will perform hand soldering and rework on thru-hole, SMT, mixed, and mechanical assemblies, prepare and place components accurately, and operate various assembly and testing equipment. The role also involves setting up, calibrating, and maintaining test stations, as well as testing product functionality using multimeters and PC-based programming. You will finalize assembly and prepare products for packing and shipping, participate in training and certification programs, support team-level quality initiatives, and communicate effectively with team members. **Responsibilities** Assemble electronic components according to specifications and quality standards. Perform hand soldering and rework on various assemblies. Prepare, place, and install components accurately. Operate and maintain assembly and testing equipment. Set up, calibrate, and maintain test stations. Test product functionality using appropriate tools. Complete assembly and prepare products for packing and shipping. Participate in training programs to maintain skills. Support quality initiatives and conduct root cause analysis. Communicate effectively with team members. **Essential Skills** 6 months to 1 year of hand soldering experience. Proficient with hand tools such as screwdrivers and torque tools. Ability to rework mechanical/electrical assemblies. Good English communication skills. Ability to read and understand assembly documentation. Good computer skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a non-repetitive basis. Ability to distinguish different colors accurately **Additional Skills & Qualifications** Familiarity with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) is a nice to have. Flexibility and eagerness to learn.
