You will operate at the intersection of strategy, governance, and execution, ensuring that decisions translate into measurable results and that the VPs portfolio delivers on its commitments to clients, regulators, and stakeholders. Partner with the CBPE VP/Head to shape and monitor strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with CBE/Enterprise objectives. Support the development of business plans, technology roadmaps sustainability, and performance metrics. Complete competitive / business environment research and benchmarking to determine emerging issues and trends and analyze the impact / implications of those trends on the Bank's strategic plan Gather data and perform financial analyses to diagnose issues Oversee the CBPE VP/Head operating cadence: leadership meetings, steering committees, monthly business reviews, risk reviews, stability reviews, approval reviews. Track execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met and issues are escalated/resolved quickly. Assist with organizing strategy offsites for senior management to facilitate ongoing discussions around the Banks strategy Drive preparation of executive briefings, board materials, and regulatory submissions. Coordinate responses to enterprise requests, ensuring alignment in messaging and priorities. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration. Support oversight of regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and risk mitigation for the CBPE VP/Heads portfolio. Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards in all communications and decision-making processes. Champion the institutions values, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity. Communicate the Bank's strategic plan and strategic priorities Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team. 8+ years experience in financial services, consulting, or a related field, with exposure to both strategy and operations. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline; Graduate Business Degree Undergraduate degree in business or engineering; graduate business degree Proven experience supporting senior executives in business management, or senior program leadership capacity. Understanding of Canadian Banking regulations, compliance obligations, and governance frameworks is a nice to have Exceptional organizational, planning, and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel. Strong executive communication abilities, including written briefs, presentation decks, and stakeholder updates. High level of discretion and political acumen; trusted to manage sensitive information. Analytical mindset, able to interpret complex data and distill actionable insights. Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic business environment Superior interpersonal skills, leadership and influential capabilities Highly developed relationship management skills to effectively manage relationships across the Bank, partners and external vendors Proven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change management Excellent knowledge with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
