Band 5 A&E Experience Nurse (Acute Nursing Required) As a Band 5 A&E nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes to ensure highquality care for all patients. Job Summary This role focuses on delivering comprehensive patient care in an emergency setting, coordinating with specialists, supervising junior staff, and maintaining professional development and audit participation. Key Responsibilities Provide direct, individualized patient care, including medication administration, assessments, and education for patients and families. Assess and develop care plans, implementing and evaluating them to meet patient needs and organisational standards. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring clear information sharing and maintaining patient advocacy. Supervise and support junior staff and students, offering guidance and ensuring educational needs are met. Participate in clinical audits and evidencebased practice to promote continuous improvement. Maintain competence with medical equipment, particularly in resuscitation settings, and monitor adherence to policies and protocols. Skills & Qualifications Registered Nurse with current NMC registration. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational and timemanagement ability. Proficient with IT systems and the ability to present clear written information. Capability to critically appraise research and apply findings to clinical practice. Experience supervising trainees and contributing to professional development initiatives. Additional Requirements Candidates must be available for an inperson interview. Applicants who were unsuccessful in a nursing application within the last 3 months are not eligible to apply. This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check (Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975).
