Aplin is proud to partner with our long-term client to hire a Senior Real Estate Paralegal to join their growing legal team in Edmonton . This is a senior, in-house role supporting a leading real estate development company with a broad portfolio spanning residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The Senior Paralegal will play a key role in legal operations, providing high-level support across commercial lending, real estate transactions, contract management, litigation coordination, and regulatory compliance . Key Responsibilities Support lender-side financing transactions , including reviewing finance packages, preparing loan and security documentation, and coordinating closings. Review and manage contracts, procurement agreements, acquisition agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents , identifying risks and deficiencies. Provide legal support on residential and commercial real estate development files , including coordination with external counsel and internal stakeholders. Assist with litigation tracking and coordination of ongoing legal matters. Maintain compliance with regulatory and licensing obligations , including builder warranty and deposit insurance requirements. Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives and automation projects , including residential conveyancing workflow automation. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, accounting, project management, treasury, and other departments . Support policy development, internal training, and document management systems , ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization. Qualifications 6+ years of progressive paralegal experience , ideally with exposure to commercial lending, contract review, or real estate transactions . Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reviewing complex legal documents. Comfortable with technology and workflow automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Dynamics, Power BI dashboards). Experience working in-house or across multiple practice areas is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
