The Role As a Department Associate (Metro), you provide retail services to a unique client base members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and their families. You assist in the setup of various departments ensuring shelves are stocked, faced and properly signed. You provide technical and professional guidance on sales and products and deal with customer concerns or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. You assist with ordering products and pricing new inventory. You may also provide a variety of other retail services, including regular retail, dry cleaning, lottery services, selfserve gas services, and postal services. You operate PointofSales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas. This role uses modernized technology and an understanding of the unique pressures and rewards of military service to provide the best customer experience.
