This role supports production goals by setting up and operating various CNC machines, mentoring team members, and ensuring highquality, efficient machining practices. The Team Lead also serves as the point of contact when the Machine Shop Supervisor is unavailable. As the Team Lead, you will be leading a team of 8 machinists/operators. Schedule Monday Friday 2:10PM 10:40PM Team Lead Premium: +2:00 per hour, on top of your base wage Shift Premium: 10% Who We Are? Being one of the largest suppliers of aftermarket diesel parts in North America, BD Diesel maintains, repairs and upgrades diesel pickup trucks at our stateoftheart repair facility in Abbotsford. Requirements Interpret complex manufacturing drawings and technical specifications Set up and operate a range of CNC machines, including: Okuma MB5000H Mazak QTN 350-II Mazak VCN-530C Doosan MX2500 LST Train and mentor both new and existing machinists to ensure consistent work quality and safety Perform basic preventive maintenance and calibration on CNC equipment and tooling Troubleshoot and resolve routine CNC machining issues to maintain production flow May perform CNC programming tasks to support afternoon shift needs Execute daily production plans as directed by scheduling and leadership Work independently while adhering to standard operating procedures and safety protocols Monitor and report on daily department performance and production metrics Ensure all required paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate additional support as required Provide leadership coverage and act as the department lead in the absence of the CNC Supervisor Other duties as assigned by your manager. Who You Are?
