Make an impact with our Assurance Professional Standards - Technical Services team as a Designated Professional. This diverse team of professionals provides bestclass industry and technical expertise to internally drive the success of our Assurance and Accounting practice. As a trusted advisor, youll advise and assist team members on financial reporting matters including interpreting and providing guidance on new accounting standards. MNP is proudly Canadian. Responsibilities Work alongside managers and Partners to deliver industry and technical expertise on a variety of technical assurance and accounting matters Promote the importance of quality control in all Assurance and Accounting engagements and play a role in driving our quality initiatives Research and respond to queries under ASPE, IFRS, and CAS Maintain knowledge of changes in the profession through research and by attending relevant industry events and training/information session Support the development and maintenance of our accounting and assurance tools and protocol Assist with the development of accounting and assurance related training in MNPs extensive inhouse education programs; Opportunity to facilitate learning and development programs for Assurance and Accounting engagement team member Prepare and review highquality deliverables, including written reports, presentations, correspondence, and other technical material and Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve our work processes Skills and Experience Completion of a CPA designation Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with Englishspeaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligation are in English 2 to 5 years of recent accounting and assurance related experience at a public accounting firm Strong technical writing and project management skills, and an understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles Demonstrate analytical research skills and critical thinking MyRewards@MNP With a focus on highpotential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
