Job Title: Director, Streaming & Data Reports To: President, WMC Department: Digital Strategy Location: Toronto, Ontario Job Type: Fixed Term, 14 Month Maternity Leave Coverage Working Hours: Full Time Pay range: $100,000 - $130,000/annual Vacancy: Maternity Leave Coverage About Our Team We are Warner Music Group, home to a roster of new stars and legendary artists across a collection of worldrenowned record labels and publishing assets. Your Role The Director leads local DSP relationships, ensures datadriven decisionmaking, and supports monthly digital revenue forecasts in partnership with Finance and Business Intelligence. Working directly with the President of Warner Music Canada, the role collaborates closely with Marketing, Digital Strategy, and ADA teams to translate consumption trends into scalable commercial outcomes. Streaming Strategy Own and evolve WMCs streaming strategy with accountability for revenue growth, market share expansion, and longterm value creation across DSPs. Oversee and mentor a team of Streaming Partner Managers responsible for daytoday relationships with key platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, and additional DSPs). Represent the Streaming function in seniorlevel meetings, providing strategic guidance and commercial perspective. Maintain deep expertise in DSP business models, algorithms, and monetization mechanics to maximize discovery, engagement, and revenue levers. Lead strategic planning around quarterly business reviews and ongoing partner strategy sessions, elevating DSP relationships beyond execution into true commercial partnerships. Stay informed on digital partner deal structures, licensing developments, and platform innovations, proactively educating internal stakeholders. Monitor competitive dynamics, consumer demand shifts, economic indicators, and emerging trends impacting streaming performance and monetization. Data & Insights Provide seniorlevel oversight and strategic direction to the Data Manager and broader Data & Insights function. Partner with the Data Manager to translate streaming, sales, and audience data into actionable commercial strategies. Guide the development and evolution of forecasting models aligned with revenue targets and partner strategies. Ensure dashboards, reports, and OKR tracking provide executiveready visibility into performance against business goals. Leverage insights on consumption patterns, emerging markets, genre trends, and platform performance to inform growth initiatives. Champion a datadriven culture across Marketing, A&R, Digital Strategy, and Commercial teams. Review and pressuretest strategic recommendations from the Data Manager for clarity and commercial relevance. Translate complex platform and data insights into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders. About You 810+ years of experience in digital music, streaming strategy, audience analytics, or commercial partnerships within the music, media, or entertainment industries. Deep understanding of the streaming ecosystem and major DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube). Proven ability to develop and execute streaming or digital consumption strategies that drive audience growth, market share, and commercial performance. Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting streaming, sales, and audience data. Experience with music and digital analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Chartmetric, DSP dashboards). Understanding of algorithmic discovery, editorial and usergenerated playlists, and platform engagement mechanics. Experience managing or mentoring team members and collaborating with crossfunctional stakeholders. Strong communication and presentation skills for translating data into actionable recommendations. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. Curiosity and passion for emerging trends in streaming and digital platforms. Strong passion for music across genres; experience with artists, managers, and label teams is an asset.
