The opportunity As a Senior Manager in EYs tax publishing group, you will be a part of EYs Canadian tax practice, which provides a wide range of services across all tax disciplines, as well as a member of the Ernst & Young Electronic Publishing Services Inc. (EYEP) team. EYEP tax professionals produce tax content for a variety of distribution channels, including print and online (via ey.com, www.knotia.ca and Canadian Tax Library ). We are seeking an individual who demonstrates strong technical expertise in applying and writing about Canadian income tax laws and who is passionate about providing other tax professionals with timely knowledge and information in a form that is easy to navigate, understand, and apply. This job posting relates to an existing vacancy within our organization. Your key responsibilities Assist in the updating, writing and review of written commentary on Canadas federal and provincial income tax laws for various publications Write and review articles on legislative, case law and CRA administrative tax developments for various EY publications, including TaxMatters@EY and EYs daily tax news Assist with the writing and review of EY tax alerts on significant emerging tax issues Monitor and track legislative developments in Canadas federal and provincial income tax laws Develop and maintain a variety of tax reference tools and tax technical content Participate as a presenter on select tax technical webcasts Coach and mentor junior tax knowledge professionals Codevelop new technology features, including AIcompatible features, alongside EYEPs web developer team (for www.knotia.ca and Canadian Tax Library), providing user feedback and testing support Skills and attributes for success Strong leadership and supervisory abilities, with a proactive, teamoriented approach and high motivation Excellent analytical, project management, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and practically, both verbally and in writing Processoriented mindset with excellent documentation skills and ability to deliver highquality work within tight deadlines Commitment to continuous learning in tax technology and staying current on legislative, case law, and administrative developments Ability to plan, manage, and contribute to multiple projects, providing timely, tailored deliverables for diverse audiences To qualify for the role you must have Minimum 10 years of experience in Canadian income tax advisory services, including expertise in Canadas international tax rules and Quebec provincial income tax rules Strong experience reading tax legislation, and writing and reviewing memos, technical articles, or papers Solid understanding of the Canadian tax legislative and research processes Demonstrated use of and interest in technology, including AI, to enhance learning, knowledge sharing, deliverables, and processes Proven ability to coach and mentor junior staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback while leading by example Completion of CPA designation or JD (or equivalent), Ideally, youll also have Completion of the InDepth Tax Course, MTax, or LLM The ability to work independently in a fastpaced, dynamic teamoriented environment Ability to speak, read, and write in French is an asset but not essential What we look for Were interested in strong team players who support their colleagues in reaching their goals while also considering their own workload and development. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
