Software Validation Engineer THE ROLE: We are looking for a dynamic, upbeat software validation engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMDs abilities to deliver the highest quality, industryleading technologies to market. This a one-year contractor position. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problemsolving mindset, a keen eye for software quality, and passionate about delivering high quality products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform manual and automated testing on new Graphics driver features and new AMD platforms Build and maintain a pool of automated test machines Contribute to initial investigation of SW defects to identify the root cause Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver solutions on software defects Develop and build automation test cases PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Good knowledge and handson experience in Python, PowerShell Good knowledge of AMD Radeon GPU and APU series, and AMD software products and technologies Good understanding of Software Engineering principles, Data structure, algorithms, Operating Systems concepts and multithread programming Good analytical and problemsolving skills Previous working experience in Software Quality Assurance ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
