Were known for hands on expertise, responsive service, and long-term customer partnerships. RESPONSIBLIITIES Drive new business and grow existing accounts across the GTA/Ontario region. Spend roughly 80% of your week visiting customers prospecting, demoing equipment, and closing dealswhile partnering with inhouse team to deliver complete solutions. Prospect and win net new business : identify leads, cold call, qualify opportunities, and advance deals through the full cycle. Own a territory plan : build a pipeline, run outreach campaigns, and meet/exceed sales quotas and territory growth targets. Conduct onsite product demos and application walk throughs for welding, cutting, pipe machining, and related equipment. Expand existing accounts : strengthen relationships, uncover new use cases, and increase share of wallet. Solve customer problems : gather requirements, recommend configurations, coordinate delivery/training, and ensure adoption. Represent at industry events/trade shows ; follow up on leads to conversion. Use CRM diligently to track activities, forecast accurately, and report market insights (competitive intel, pricing, product feedback). Collaborate internally (sales, ops, vendors) to craft proposals/quotes and deliver on customer timelines. QUALIFICATIONS 37 years of success in outside/field sales with heavy cold?calling/prospecting and consistent quota attainment. Experience selling industrial or engineered mechanical products (e.g., welding equipment/consumables, pipe machining & fabrication tools, heat exchanger products, stationary/portable machine tools, hydraulic tools ). Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex products and perform impactful demos. Presentation, negotiation, and closing skills; comfortable engaging at shop floor and leadership levels. Self-directed with excellent territory time management and a disciplined, metrics?driven approach. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn our ERP/CRM to create quotes, proposals, and forecasts. Education: Diploma/degree in a mechanical/technical discipline or equivalent industrial experience. Valid Ontario drivers licence , clean abstract, and reliable vehicle for regular travel. Valid passport for occasional manufacturer training (outside Canada). Ability to lift up to 50 lb and safely navigate stairs/ladders during site visits. Must be authorized to work in Canada . Onsite role (Aurora HQ) with frequent customer travel; no remote only option . Nice to Have Experience selling into fabrication shops, EPCs, maintenance/turnaround, utilities, or OEMs. Knowledge of welding processes (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW), cutting, beveling, and pipe prep.
