Job Summary Pipefitter Journeyperson Shell Scotford Spring Turnaround. Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Canada. Employment Type: Temporary FullTime (CAN). Workplace: OnSite. Shift: Day or Night. Schedule: 6/1. Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Journeypersons to join Heartland Constructors at the Shell Scotford site near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This position does not have flight programs or travel allowance, and all workers are responsible for their own accommodations, which makes it ideal for individuals local to the Edmonton/Fort Saskatchewan area. The successful candidate will work a 6/1 rotation, 10 hours per day, for the duration of the project until completion. Overtime will apply for all hours worked in excess of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending pipes, valves and fittings. Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems. Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required. Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors. Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications. Redline update drawings to an asbuilt condition. Follow various Heartland and client policies & procedures, including adherence to requirements of ISO 90012000. Minimum Requirements Pipefitter Journeyperson or InterProvincial Red Seal Certification. CSO. WHMIS. ESC Fall Protection. ESC Confined Space. Basic Rigging. Satisfactory Drug & Alcohol Test. Mask Fit Test. Valid Canadian Drivers License. Other safety ticket(s) and orientation(s) required, as per the project team.
