As a Manager, Client Accounting, you will play a critical role in leading accounting, bookkeeping, and financial activities for our ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices. You will report to the Director of Parallel and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of client financial operations while driving continuous process improvement across the portfolio. What will you do? Manage High-Volume Accounting Operations : Oversee a significant volume of accounting work, including reconciliations, compliance activities, and client account management. Prepare and Review Financial Deliverables : Draft financial statements and supporting schedules for external tax advisors, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards. Maintain Client Financial Records : Ensure comprehensive and organized financial record-keeping, supporting year-end closing procedures and major financial events with proactive planning. Drive Process Improvement : Develop, implement, and refine accounting procedures to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors while maintaining quality standards. Stakeholder Management : Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, and clients, ensuring alignment with client objectives and seamless coordination. Conduct Financial Reviews : Perform regular reviews of client accounts, identify areas for improvement, and recommend appropriate solutions to enhance service delivery. Stay Current on Industry Standards : Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement in our service delivery. What do you need to succeed? Must Have: Bachelor''''s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) or Canadian CPA designation (CPA, CA, or equivalent). 35+ years of progressive accounting experience within a family office, wealth management firm, or UHNW-focused practice. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and analysis. Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in financial management software and systems. Discretion and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality in a high-net-worth environment. Nice to Have: Experience with RBC systems, platforms, or internal tools. Knowledge of trust accounting, estate planning concepts, or investment account management. Multi-jurisdictional accounting experience. Experience mentoring or training junior accounting staff. What''''s in it for you? The expected base salary range for this particular position is $67,000- $110,000 -- depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
