Investments 16 (Associate, Investments): Salaries typically range from $74,297 to $99,063 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive. Location: Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week (subject to change). This role is preferably performed from EDCs headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Montreal or Toronto. Team Overview EDC Investments is an evergreen investment group with over $4 billion invested in private equity, growth equity, and venture capital investments. The team seeks junior members at the Analyst and Associate levels with a financial background and interest in private capital investments. The roles involve market research, due diligence, financial modeling, fair market valuation, transaction processes, and relationship management across direct deals and fund investments. What you will be doing Due Diligence Assist senior team members with investment due diligence and investment proposal creation. Financial Models Build and utilize Excel financial models for valuation, risk assessment, and cash flow profiling. Research Undertake market research and build investment landscapes across multiple sectors. Investment Coordination Collaborate within EDC Investments and with other EDC teams to move investments through due diligence and closing processes. Legal Documentation Develop familiarity with term sheet provisions and investment documentation. Portfolio Monitoring Assist in monitoring portfolio performance and preparing valuations. Reporting Contribute to various reporting requirements for the Investments Program. What we are looking for Analyst Recently completed Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance or Accounting. 1-2 years of relevant work experience (including co-op) in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, corporate development, management consulting, or transaction services. Strong financial modeling skills. Associate Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance or Accounting. Other undergraduate or master degrees may be considered with relevant experience. 2-5 years of relevant work experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, corporate development, or management consulting. Outstanding financial modeling skills and verbal/written communication skills. What will make you stand out As an Analyst/Associate: Bilingualism in English and French is a plus.
