Reports to: Quality Control Manager Location: Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada This position is for 1 existing vacancy Job Summary The QMS Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company''''s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role encompasses administrative support for Quality Control laboratory operations, radiation safety management, and overall quality assurance across project sites. The QMS Coordinator will ensure continuous improvement and compliance with quality policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to ensure efficient Quality Control laboratory operations. Maintain physical and digital filing systems; update records, preserving documentation for project as required. Administer and maintain records of asphalt tests into the Labsys program. Coordinate with Quality Control Manager and Project Manager to ensure compliance with contract and regulatory specifications. Coordinate and administer requests for new mix designs, for project team or clients. Administer monthly invoicing for all external testing conducted by the Quality Control laboratory. Manage timesheets for Quality Control laboratory personnel. Maintain records of field technician reports. Assist Quality Control Manager in preparing relevant documentation for clients. Maintain an inventory and arrange for replacement supplies as required. Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation Assist the Quality Control Manager in establishing and maintaining Quality Management System. Enforce and promote the companys Quality Control Program. Implement the QMS on project sites and support training on new or updated quality procedures. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for quality issues. Manage the QC team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Coordinate with project teams to identify, document and respond to quality issues promptly and effectively. Oversee construction processes to ensure activities meet quality standards. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and identify new practices to enhance quality. Interface with internal staff, suppliers, customer representatives, and regulatory authorities. Support supplier selection, document approvals, and performance reporting. Conduct quality reviews of request for quotations documentation and contracts. Liaison with clients Quality Assurance Representatives. Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) Responsibilities Oversee daily aspects of the Radiation Protection Program. Have detailed prior knowledge and experience coordinating with Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). Act as the primary contact with the CNSC for licensing and compliance matters. Ensure compliance with CNSC regulatory requirements. Act as the signing authority for CNSC license. Manage and control radiation safety for the licensed activity. Conduct quarterly physical inventories for all sealed sources (gauges). Maintain up-to-date license; ensure amendment and renewal requests are submitted on time. Post documents such as license information and operating procedures. Provide personnel monitoring equipment and ensure compliance with radiation exposure limits. Education and Experience Degree/diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or relevant discipline. Experience in a construction environment involving quality assurance. Experience conducting quality audits and knowledge of ISO 9001 standards. Proficiency with software including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office. Demonstrated Management Skills Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively. Demonstrated Interpersonal (People) Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to travel as needed.
