OverviewTHE POSITION The Territory Manager in Animal Health utilizes Customer Experience Excellence (CXE) skills, territory & account management, along with business planning capabilities to execute our strategies to maximize performance within the assigned territory. The Territory Manager works with customers, decision makers and cross-functional partners to manage accounts/clinics, understand needs/drivers, build customer value and maintain business relationships as a partner to offer innovative solutions in biologics and specialty pharmaceuticals for companion animals, beef and dairy cattle, equine, swine and avian. This opportunity is within the BOVINE Business Unit.ResponsibilitiesSales Performance: Meet overall annual net sales objectives for key growth products and portfolio via demand generation within assigned geography. Track progress against goals on a monthly basis. Account for promotional spending (rebates, free goods, promotional items, etc).Selling Skills and Ability: Use the CXE model to engage customers, understand needs, build value and advance the sale. Position products based on Plan of Action (POA) and customer insights. Foster a positive working relationship with individual customers and accounts/clinics. Leverage multi-channel and close-loop marketing tools with targeted/segmented customers.Business and Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate understanding of BIAH products, competitors and clinical studies; stay informed on industry trends. Employ Technical Services Veterinarians to increase product/disease and clinical knowledge. Collaborate with TSVs to address customer perspective and add value. Share insights and competitor activity through appropriate channels with stakeholders. Use CRM/Impact Vet/Sales Reports to assess market, product, account/customer and territory dynamics and opportunities.Territory and Account Management: Adhere to communication requirements and manage time and territory effectively. Follow up with customers and cross-functional partners. Develop and review customer/business plans and leverage available business tools. Record learnings/insights and call objectives in CRM. Use pre/post-call processes to enhance engagement and impact. Maintain account/customer data in CRM. Manage expenses and regional event budgets. Identify decision-makers/influencers and develop working relationships. Share learnings with team and cross-functional partners. Identify business opportunities and undertake calculated risks with manager/brand team. Exhibit teamwork and collaboration and participate in local, regional and national meetings. Share best practices and lead by example.Ethical and Industry Standards: Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts to maintain the companys reputation. Comply with applicable codes of conduct and SOPs.This position is field-based.
