Overview Role: AS400 ConsultantLocation: Vancouver, BCDuration: 6+ Months Background Client is looking for someone with ex HSBC experience or someone with Mutual Fund experience in Wealth Management. Ideal would be to have ex HSBC experience. Responsibilities Analyst-Developer on AS400 platform using RPG and COBOL We need an RPG/COBOL analyst-developer to work on interfaces and data mapping for the Mutual Fund system replacement projects specifically the Dealer Platform project and the Transfer Agency project. The legacy platform is an AS400 system (MFD). Nature of the work will vary between requirements analysis, data mapping, system design, producing solution design documentation, coding, quality reviews and responding to data request queries. Required Skills and Experience AS400 / RPG development must be core skill. 10 years + experience required. Must have actually written code in the last 12 months. Experience with COBOL would be an asset. Experience with MQ, Connect Direct, XML file formats would be an asset. Excellent system analysis and design skills required. Must be a fast learner given the product set and application. Preference would be given to people with previous experience working at HSBC on AS400 /RPG systems.
