As our Senior Geologist French, you will be an integral member of our AI Team and at the forefront of blending traditional geological expertise with modern data analytics. Your contributions will be vital in transforming raw geological data into actionable insights that support exploration decision-making with an emphasis on orogenic gold systems. This role will focus on geological data compilation, interpretation, and providing geological expertise within a multidisciplinary team that thrives on data-driven insights. You will also play an important customer-facing role, working directly with clients to apply geological context to prospectivity modeling outputs and helping them interpret results to guide exploration strategies. The successful candidate will bring significant mineral exploration experience with strong expertise in orogenic gold systems, applying their geological knowledge to support AI-driven targeting solutions and client engagements. Because this role works closely with French-speaking clients and partners, fluency in French is required to conduct technical discussions and provide geological guidance in both French and English. Key Responsibilities - Compile and synthesize geological data from various sources to support analysis and prospectivity modeling efforts. - Work directly with our clients to assist in the application of geological context to prospectivity modeling outputs, providing an exceptional customer experience. - Conduct technical discussions and provide geological guidance to French-speaking clients, communicating complex geological concepts clearly in both French and English. - Apply strong expertise in orogenic gold systems, including structural controls, mineralization styles, and exploration targeting. - Interpret geological data within the context of broader data science objectives, providing insights and recommendations. - Work collaboratively with data scientists and developers to integrate geological understanding into predictive models and analytical tools. - Participate in the development and refinement of data compilation methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy. - Contribute geological expertise to cross-disciplinary projects, ensuring that geoscience perspectives are represented and valued. - Participate in occasional site visits (approximately 10% travel) to support client projects and exploration programs. Qualifications Education - Bachelors degree in Geology, Geosciences, or related fields. - Masters degree is considered an asset. Geological Expertise - 1015 years of mineral exploration experience, with the majority of experience focused on orogenic gold systems. - Strong understanding of structural geology, gold mineral systems, and exploration targeting. - Demonstrated experience compiling, interpreting, and synthesizing geological datasets for exploration programs. Technical Skills - Competence in GIS, remote sensing tools, and familiarity with geological databases. - Exposure to data analysis software (e.g., Python, R) is considered an asset. Language - Fluency in French (spoken and written) is required. - Candidates must be comfortable conducting technical geological discussions with clients in both French and English. Collaborative / Communication Skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary remote team and with our clients, bridging the gap between geology and data science.
