Leeds & Grenville Interval House (LGIH) is seeking a trusted, results-driven Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director, youll play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering our vital services while fostering collaboration within our community and beyond. WHO WE ARE Leeds Grenville Interval House is a non-profit, charitable organization established in 1983 to provide accommodation, supportive counseling and a 24-hour crisis and support line for women in distress. The organization is funded by the Ontario Government, Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, and grant programs that support women and children within the United Counties of Leeds Grenville. We offer support in the following areas: 24-hour Crisis and Support Line Short-term residential shelter for women and their children Transitional and outreach services for women WHAT YOU WILL DO Leadership and Staff Management: Supervising and evaluating staff, training team members, managing recruitment and scheduling of volunteers, facilitating conflict resolution, maintaining client statistics, participating in meetings, assisting with on-call rotation, and acting as Executive Operations and Program Coordination: Managing referrals, staff scheduling, supporting Crisis Intervention Workers, overseeing shelter operations and case assignments, coordinating programming and facility projects, and managing client supplies. Compliance, Systems, and Data Management: Overseeing the W.I.S.H. database, ensuring compliance with accessibility and safety legislation, and staying informed on issues impacting clients. Community Engagement and Partnerships: Collaborating with housing providers, landlords, and mental health and addictions partners, supporting staff in navigating complex systems, participating on committees, and assisting with public education initiatives. Strategic Development and Organizational Growth: Supporting program growth and contributing to strategic initiatives as required. WHAT YOU NEED Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in womens issues Minimum three (3) years of management experience in social services Strong knowledge of violence against women and children using a feminist and trauma-informed framework Understanding of barriers faced by women including disabilities, diverse cultures, harm reduction, and addictions Knowledge of civil and criminal legal systems and their impacts Current CPR and First Aid certification Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check with future checks every three years Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom/MS Teams, and social media WHAT YOU BRING Strong decision-making, assessment, and conflict-resolution skills Exceptional communication and leadership abilities Ability to thrive in a collaborative team and crisis-oriented environment A second language (especially French) and knowledge of voluntary sector issues are considered assets TO APPLY This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact in your community, working alongside passionate professionals dedicated to empowering women and children.
