Position OverviewTorus Talent is supporting a well established Canadian engineering consultancy in their search for an Intermediate Process Engineer to join their Vancouver based mining team.This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong process engineer with hands on mineral processing experience who enjoys contributing across the full project lifecycle, from early stage studies through detailed design. The role offers exposure to a variety of mining projects across Canada, primarily focused on mineral processing operations.The successful candidate will contribute to multidisciplinary teams delivering practical, constructible solutions across gold, copper, uranium, lithium and other mineral processing projects.Further Responsibilities Include the FollowingContribute to engineering studies including PEA, PFS and Feasibility Study phasesSupport conceptual design, front end engineering and detailed design activitiesInterpret metallurgical test work results Develop process flow sheets and process design criteriaPrepare process calculations, PFDs, heat and material balances and P&IDsSize process equipment and develop technical specificationsComplete metallurgical simulations using industry standard softwareEnsure work aligns with internal procedures, applicable legislation and industry standardsMaintain a strong commitment to health and safety standardsCollaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teamsTravel to project sites as requiredIdeal Candidate RequirementsBachelors degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related disciplineApproximately 6 plus years of relevant mining and mineral processing experienceDemonstrated experience working on mineral processing projects in gold, copper, uranium, lithium or similar commoditiesStrong familiarity with NI 43-101 technical reports and reporting requirementsExperience supporting or contributing to NI 43-101 compliant studiesExperience with metallurgical simulation software such as MetSim, JKSimMet and or BrunoSome operational experience within a mineral processing plant environment preferredP.Eng. designation preferred, or eligible for registration in British ColumbiaAbility to sign off as a Qualified Person considered an assetStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work effectively in a team environmentWillingness to travel as required for site visitsWhy This FirmEstablished and reputable engineering consultancy with a strong presence in the Canadian mining sectorExposure to a range of study phases and technical challengesCollaborative and technically focused team environmentHybrid work model based out of downtown VancouverCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageOngoing professional development and career growth opportunitiesInterested candidates are encouraged to send their resume in word format to this posting or email .
