Position: Senior Payment Platform Specialist Position Type: Toronto, ON No. of Positions: 2 Location: Greater Toronto Area (Hybrid) Description This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled Senior SME specializing in payment platform systems to support and stabilize critical production environments. In this role, you will act as a senior technical authority responsible for diagnosing complex production issues, ensuring the reliability of payment processing systems, and guiding internal teams and clients through advanced troubleshooting and configuration solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong technical analysis, deep platform expertise, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across support, QA, and engineering teams while maintaining a seamless payment processing ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Serve as the senior technical lead for diagnosing and resolving complex production issues within the payment processing platform. Investigate incidents through detailed analysis including trace review, database inspection, and system configuration validation. Reproduce and isolate technical issues to determine root causes and develop effective resolution strategies. Configure and maintain platform rules, profiles, and advanced system settings to support payment workflows and operational requirements. Analyze payment transaction flows and platform behavior to identify performance issues, processing errors, or system inconsistencies. Provide expert guidance to support teams and manage escalations involving advanced configuration or system behavior. Work closely with engineering, QA, and product teams to validate fixes, implement improvements, and ensure system stability. Qualifications Extensive hands-on experience working with enterprise payment processing platforms, particularly FGPP environments. Strong technical troubleshooting skills including trace analysis, system investigation, and production incident resolution. Proven experience performing advanced platform configuration and rule management in complex environments. Solid understanding of payment processing workflows, transaction lifecycle, and system integrations. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and business stakeholders. Experience supporting mission-critical production systems with high transaction volumes and strict reliability requirements.
