Job Title: Maintenance Associate Job Summary The Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the facility. This role requires a well-rounded technical skill set, including general building maintenance, mechanical systems, and the ability to work with building automation and maintenance management systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of troubleshooting a wide range of facility-related issues. Key Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including drywall patching and repair, painting, carpentry, and minor renovations Conduct basic electrical work, such as replacing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues Perform basic plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, clearing drains, and maintaining restrooms and break areas Support HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting, filter changes, monitoring performance, and coordinating with external vendors when required Monitor and interact with Building Automation Systems (BAS) to ensure proper building performance and comfort levels Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to log, track, prioritize, and complete work orders efficiently Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns Respond to urgent maintenance requests and facility emergencies in a timely manner Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in facility maintenance or building operations Strong working knowledge of: Drywall repair and finishing Basic electrical systems Plumbing and carpentry HVAC systems and controls Building Automation Systems (BAS) Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication and time management skills Physically able to lift, climb, bend, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks Preferred Qualifications Trade certification or technical training in facilities, HVAC, electrical, or related field Experience in commercial or retail facility environments Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs Work Environment Combination of indoor mechanical spaces and public areas Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required Standing, walking, lifting, and use of hand and power tools required Final compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate''''s unique skills, expertise, individual qualifications, and assessed contributions to the role following the completion of the interview process.
