Overview Location: SW Ontario on-site role DIRECTOR OF REGULATORY, R&D - ANIMAL HEALTH PHARMA Grasslands Recruitment Specialists is recruiting a full-time, hybrid/remote experienced Director of Regulatory and R&D - Animal Health Pharmaceuticals. This position is based in rural SW Ontario and will work for a Canadian market-leading manufacturer of animal health medicants and other animal health care products. Our client is Health Canada licensed, FDA approved, and HACCP certified, and occupies a dominant position in their market. In this full-time, permanent Director of Regulatory, R&D role, you will oversee the management of both the Regulatory and Research & Development teams, setting the strategic direction for the business unit to ensure the timely development and approval of new products in both the Canadian and International markets. This position reports to the CEO. Responsibilities Key responsibilities include: Overall responsibility for implementing regulatory strategies to ensure market access and compliance Managing in-house research and development programs by leading the R&D team in the design and execution of preclinical and clinical studies Lead and accountability for Regulatory and R&D teams, coordinating with cross-functional groups Qualifications Advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline 10+ years of progressive experience in regulatory/R&D within the pharmaceutical industry Proven track record of successful regulatory submissions and product approvals 5 years active management of personnel with demonstrated listening, coaching, and feedback skills Strong performance orientation with ability to motivate and coach others Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Advanced understanding of statistics and mathematical concepts Compensation and Benefits This key management position earns a competitive salary of $150,000/year DOE.
