Overview Senior Technology Project Manager. Our client is a professional association in the medical field a memberdriven nonprofit organization with about 350 employees. The role is a senior IT PM to join the IT PMO team and lead and deliver IT projects. The position is hybrid work (2 days in-office, 3 days remote). Location is midtown central Toronto near TTC. Compensation: $92-104k base salary plus bonus, defined contribution pension plan, comprehensive benefits, and three weeks of vacation and other benefits. Job summary The Senior Technology Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex technology programs and projects that support organizational priorities. This role requires strong project leadership, strategic planning, and handson execution to ensure initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with crossfunctional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to align technology solutions with business needs. Key responsibilities include developing and managing project plans, monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and TPMO processes. The Senior Technology Project Manager will also mentor and guide project team members, fostering collaboration and adherence to best practices in project management. How you will make a difference Project/program oversight and governance Overseeing the performance of IT program and project management activities, including project design, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. Develop and implement strategies, goals, and objectives to ensure project prioritization aligns with business needs. Create detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Act as the primary point of escalation, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and resolved effectively. Business analysis Leading and facilitating project related business analysis by collaborating with stakeholders to assess operations, technology needs, and goals. Conducting research and analyses, recommending solutions, and defining technology strategies. Translating business requirements into documentation, functional designs, and implementing roadmaps to support project execution. Project delivery and resource management Leading the execution of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, resource availability, and project timelines. Managing and maintaining resource planning and coordinate recruitment or assignment of resources to support the IT Operating Plan. Project leadership and project team development Leading, coaching, and developing project team members to enhance project management capabilities. Providing mentorship and guidance to IT staff and stakeholders on project management methodologies and best practices. Collaborating with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution. Reporting and stakeholder communication Preparing and presenting program reports and dashboards to stakeholders and senior leadership. Providing insights into project status, resource utilization, risks, and performance against established targets. Quality assurance and continuous improvement Monitoring project progress and adjusting as necessary to ensure successful delivery. Implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure all deliverables meet the required standards and specifications. Conducting regular reviews and audits to drive ongoing improvements. Qualifications Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Business Commerce, Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Business Administration or equivalent. Ten+ years in IT, ideally starting in a technical handson role or in a business analyst role then progressing to project management. Six+ years of IT Program/Project Management experience, including leading largescale digital transformation initiatives and working with PMO processes and standard PMI project management methodologies. Project Management Professional (PMP). Two to three years of experience with project controls on major technology projects, including scheduling, financial reporting and controls, budgeting, forecasting, and estimating. ($500k to $2+MM projects) A minimum of 3 years in a project leadership role, demonstrating responsibility for guiding crossfunctional teams, driving decisionmaking, communicating a clear vision, managing change, and ensuring successful project delivery. Experience in CRM & Salesforce, ERP, COTS, and project management tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA. Project Management Professional (PMP) is required. The following are considered asset designations/certifications/licenses: Program Management Professional (PgMP), PRINCE2 Agile Certification Prosci Change Management LEAN/Lead Kaizen/Design Thinking/Six Sigma Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) CBAP Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle (SDLC), Unified Process, Agile/Scrum, change management, and technology adoption practices. Experience delivering IT system development and integration projects, including platforms such as Microsoft tech stack (e.g., CRM, Smartsheet). Familiarity with PMO frameworks and standard project management methodologies (e.g., PMI). Proven ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and diverse stakeholder groups. Experience with business relationship management and vendor management. Proficient in business analysis, including documentation and requirements gathering techniques.
