Marianhill is a faith based, not-for-profit organization that provides long-term care, community support services, palliative and hospice care services. Marianhill is accredited with Exemplary Standing. We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Full-Time Recreation Programmer until June 2027. Recreation Programmer Under the direction of the Manager of Recreation and Volunteers, the Recreation Programmer assists with the provision of Resident care. Duties are performed in accordance with Marianhills mission statement, established policies and procedures, current legislation and in a manner that respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-respect, self-determination, and autonomy of our residents to promote maximum independence Qualifications - Have a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university or be enrolled in a community college or university in a diploma or degree program in such a field. - Completion of a food safety awareness program recognized by a Public Health Unit is required. - Computer Literacy is an asset. - Oral and written proficiency in French is considered an asset. - Oral and written proficiency in English is required. - Excellent attendance is essential. Wage: $25.24-$25.98 per hour per local Collective Agreement + 14% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation. Shifts to be discussed, 37.5 hours per week. Education certificate, diploma or otherwise must be provided to the Employer and you must participate in the Annual Influenza Program and N95 Mask Fit Testing Program as applicable.
