Job Description Position: Corporate Payroll Administrator (3 month contract position) Primary Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid with 1 day per week in office) Schedule: Full-Time Reports to: Corporate Payroll Manager Compensation: $26.00/hr - $28.00/hr Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific ranges for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. About this Role and About You Were hiring a Corporate Payroll Administrator (3 month contract) to support accurate and timely payroll processing for our 1,400 Canadian and US employees across multiple provinces and states. In this entry-level role, you will work closely with the payroll team, other HR teams, and Finance to perform data entry, basic calculations, and post-payroll support under the guidance of the Corporate Payroll Manager. Qualifications - 12 years of clerical or payroll support experience - Post-secondary diploma or certificate in accounting, business, or related field - Familiarity with basic payroll concepts and statutory deductions - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel - Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude - Effective oral and written communication skills - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion - Previous experience in ADP Workforce Now is an asset Responsibilities - Enter employee time data and update payroll system records - Verify hours, deductions, benefits, and other payroll inputs - Assist in preparation of bi-weekly payroll runs for Canada and the US - Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs and deductions - Maintain accurate payroll files, records, and schedules - Support post-payroll activities such as filing bi-weekly reports and posting GL entries to SAP - Help prepare basic payroll summaries and ad-hoc reports for stakeholders - Assist with year-end tasks, including gathering data for T4 and W-2 forms - Participate in process improvement and documentation updates - Other duties as assigned Additional Notes - You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy learning from others - You are organized, detail-oriented, and can manage priorities in a fast-paced setting - You approach problems with resourcefulness and a willingness to seek guidance - You demonstrate integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive data What Chemtrade Offers You We are committed to cultivating a work environment that embraces and values the unique qualities of every employee.
