Job Posting 3308 Radiant Care Tabor Manor Nutrition Manager Full-Time Permanent Job Description Position Summary Reporting to the Manager of Support Services, the Nutrition Manager manages all aspects of dietary, housekeeping and laundry within the Radiant Care Home to meet the nutritional and care needs of the residents/tenants and to ensure the effective and efficient preparation and delivery of food and housekeeping and laundry services within legislative and budgetary constraints. Qualifications and Skills Required Education - Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management - Food and Nutrition Management Diploma from an approved College and/or University degree in Food Service and Nutrition - Knowledge of Canadas Food Guide - Must possess a Food Handlers Certificate Experience - 1 3 years experience in food services, preferably Long-Term Care, with progressive leadership roles - Supervisory skills required to manage staff and resources - Human relations skills required to handle a variety of interactions with all stakeholders of the Radiant Care home (e.g., Board and liaison members, families, residents/tenants, volunteers, staff, and constituents of the Mennonite community) - Cultural sensitivity to the German Mennonite heritage - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) - Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS) - Legally entitled to work in Canada Key Responsibilities - In cooperation with the Residents Council, determine residents preferences and plan regular and therapeutic cyclical menus for approval by the Ministry - Maintain and uphold all resident/tenant rights and exemplary relations with all residents/tenants - Prepare and/or supervise the preparation and service of all meals and nourishments following specified menus and standardized recipes - Assist the Manager of Support Services in controlling the operational budget for the Dietary and Environmental Services Departments - Order and receive food and supplies within budget, monitor inventory, control supplies and linen - Assist with the purchase, receipt, storage and control of department supplies, including inventory controls - Perform duties in the department to facilitate food services operations and ensure the philosophy of care is carried out in all food service and housekeeping/laundry service programs - Supervise all aspects of housekeeping/laundry service - Follow infection control procedures - Ensure compliance with all Long-Term Care regulations and established policies and procedures - Involve staff and participate in regular meetings with departmental staff, take minutes and ensure the final copy is sent to the Manager of Support Services - Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner and ensure proper care in the use of tools, equipment and supplies - Participate in labor management meetings as needed - Assist with recruitment, orientation, supervision and performance of staff - Assist with training of staff on a regular basis - Ensure Dietary, Laundry and Housekeeping staff comply with policies, procedures, including safety, sanitation and safe working practices - Participate in committee meetings as required by the Manager of Support Services - Ensure proper usage, maintenance and supply of all department-related equipment - Maintain operational records (e.g., menus, production charts, food and refrigeration temperatures) and report discrepancies to the Manager of Support Services - Assist in updating dietary records based on resident profiles, diets, diet textures, nourishments and supplements - Assist in RAI-MDS documentation of residents as needed and in the absence of the Manager of Support Services - Attend Resident Care Conferences - Assist with staff scheduling - Assist with implementation and training on Synergy Tech Suite by Sysco - Work with Dietician and other members of the management team - Perform and support routine audits within the Dietary and Environmental Services departments - Participate in annual goal setting aligned with the Organizations current Strategic Plan - Understand and adhere to the Collective Agreement, when applicable - Be on call 24 hours a day and carry a cellphone - Assume the responsibilities of the Manager of Support Services during their absence - Assumes responsibility for the operation of the Dietary and Environmental Services department - Carries out other tasks as assigned by the Manager of Support Services - Complete all Mandatory Training assigned by Radiant Care - Other duties as assigned by Supervisor We Offer - Competitive compensation - Medical, dental and vision benefits available for full-time and part-time employees - Employer RRSP contribution - Training in Montessori Methods for Dementia Care - Affordable access to our Fitness & Wellness Centre - Full-time, part-time and casual positions - Our staff, leadership, and Board teams are progressive and supportive Application Deadline Please submit your application no later than Friday March 27, 2026 by noon.
