Position Details Position: Casual Security Guard (possibility to become Full-Time) Site: Multi-Sites Overtime: Overtime (excess of 44 hours) Hours: As needed Payrate: $20/hour Posting Date: February 26, 2026 Internal Closing Date: June 30, 2026 External Closing Date: June 30, 2026 Key Responsibilities Patrol Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of premises, including parking areas, hallways, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site. Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. Access Control: Monitor and control entry points, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas. Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist staff as needed during crises and evacuations. Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors and staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to policies and procedures. Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally. Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns. Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved. Prerequisites Covid Vaccine two doses Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two-step TB skin test English (oral and written) and/or French (oral and written) depending on site Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and/or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin''s UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to meet the requirements of the position Note: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability Why choose Paladin?
