Canlan Ice Sports is looking for a Sports Shop Supervisor. This role is currently vacant. Rate of Pay: $38,000 - $41,000/year Responsibilities - Direct day-to-day operations of the Sports Shop to ensure a high level of customer service. - Supervise and schedule team members; manage merchandising, promotions, cost controls, and sales targets. - Assist in the annual operating plan preparation. - Maintain a strong working knowledge of hockey and skating to support customers and staff. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION - Diploma or Certificate in Retail operations (preferred) - Completed high school education or equivalent ABILITIES, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE - Previous retail merchandising and sales experience and excellent customer service skills - Demonstrated hockey knowledge, computer skills and cash handling experience - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and customers - Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings & weekends) - Previous team supervision experience (preferred) - Previous experience within a sports/recreational environment (preferred) If you are interested in this role and becoming part of the Canlan team, please apply online.
