Position Overview Regency Medical Supplies is seeking a part-time or full-time Compression Therapy & Medical Retail Specialist to join our team. This role blends medical product sales with specialized compression therapy fittings, supporting clients who require medical-grade compression garments for circulation and edema management. The successful candidate will assist clients in our Burnaby showroom, perform compression garment fittings, and conduct off-site fittings at care homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. This position is well suited for candidates with backgrounds in healthcare, medical supplies, pharmacy, physiotherapy clinics, or rehabilitation services. Comprehensive training will be provided by Regency staff and compression therapy manufacturer representatives. Key Responsibilities Assist customers on the showroom floor with mobility equipment and medical supply products Conduct compression stocking measurements and fittings Educate clients on proper use, care, and wear of compression garments Maintain accurate documentation related to fittings and product recommendations Participate in off-site fittings at care homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes when required Provide professional, compassionate service to seniors and individuals with mobility or health challenges Clinical Scope of Role This position works with medical-grade compression therapy products used to manage conditions such as: Venous insufficiency Lymphedema Edema management Post-surgical recovery Responsibilities include accurate limb measurement, garment selection, and client education. Candidates with healthcare backgrounds may pursue advanced compression therapy certifications (ABI) with manufacturer partners. Qualifications Preferred Background Experience in medical supplies, pharmacy, physiotherapy clinics, rehabilitation services, or healthcare retail Clinical backgrounds such as RN, LPN, rehabilitation assistant, kinesiology, or related healthcare training are considered strong assets Experience with compression therapy or garment fitting is highly desirable Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent customer care and service orientation Ability to work comfortably with elderly clients and individuals with mobility challenges Positive attitude and professional demeanor Strong attention to detail when performing measurements and fittings Compensation $22$26 per hour, depending on experience Opportunity for sales incentives or commission tied to compression therapy and showroom sales Paid training in compression garment fitting Potential advancement into senior fitting specialist or outside sales roles Training Training includes: Hands-on compression fitting training with Regency staff Education from compression therapy manufacturer representatives Mentorship from experienced fitting specialists Who This Role Is Ideal For This role is ideal for someone who: Has worked in medical supplies, pharmacy, physiotherapy clinics, or healthcare retail Enjoys working with seniors and mobility clients Wants to develop expertise in compression therapy and medical device fitting Is comfortable combining customer service with clinical product knowledge Interested applicants must submit a resume and cover letter outlining relevant experience in healthcare, medical supplies, retail, or customer service.
