The Team Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice is comprised of over 600 sector experts and specialized consultants across the Globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leader to select, structure, improve and execute Capital Projects in a more efficient and sustainable way. The Lead Mining Engineer is responsible for overseeing all civil engineering activities for the project, ensuring technical execution, quality compliance, and seamless integration with other project functions. The incumbent will lead a team of mining engineers, ensuring efficient execution, adherence to best practices, and achievement of project objectives. The role involves strategic planning, technical leadership, and proactive problem-solving to optimize mining engineering deliverables while mitigating risks and maintaining schedule integrity. How you will contribute Develop and oversee mining engineering execution plans, ensuring alignment with overall project goals. Plan and direct mining engineering personnel deployment, ensuring sufficient resources for project demands. Lead technical coordination across all mining engineering activities to drive efficiency and consistency. Ensure timely preparation, review, and approval of mining engineering deliverables. Oversee the development of technical documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Coordinate mining engineering activities to maintain scope, budget, and schedule adherence. Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to address technical challenges and optimize execution strategies. Monitor fabrication and construction phases to ensure alignment with mining engineering design requirements. Implement and enforce quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications. Qualifications Bachelor''''s degree in Engineering; a Master''''s degree is considered an asset. Minimum 10 years of experience in lead mining engineering capacity within large-scale capital projects. Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams. Strong knowledge of industry regulations, engineering best practices, and quality assurance frameworks. Proficiency in engineering design software, project management tools, and industry-standard methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. The salary range is $140,000-$180,000 CAD annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
