Job Description

Overview Our client is seeking an Executive Director to lead a communityfocused, notforprofit organization that supports individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. This role is responsible for executing the strategic plan, overseeing daytoday operations, and ensuring programs are delivered with quality, equity, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring senior leadership experience in the nonprofit and/or human services sector, proven success working with a Board of Directors, strength in financial management and risk oversight, and a track record of building collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Responsibilities Partner with the Board to uphold effective governance, produce annual budgets and business plans, and deliver clear, timely reporting Lead people, programs, and operations to meet service commitments while fostering an inclusive, missiondriven culture Ensure the organization is structured and staffed for impact, with practices that attract, develop, and retain talent Implement outcomesbased quality and evaluation processes that drive learning and continuous improvement Build and sustain trusted relationships with clients, families, funders, community partners, and advocates Represent the organization as a visible community leader, strengthening reputation and influence Safeguard financial health through disciplined budgeting, monitoring, and compliance with funder and regulatory requirements Anticipate risk, ensure appropriate policies and controls, and maintain accreditation and audit readiness Qualifications Postsecondary education in a relevant field (e.g., disability services, social sciences, public or business administration) 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within notforprofit or human services settings Experience partnering with a Board of Directors and operating within governance frameworks Proven financial management capability, including budgeting, analysis, decision support, and reporting Deep understanding of services for people with developmental disabilities, and a person and familycentered mindset Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences Strong relationshipbuilding and community partnership abilities; diplomatic and collaborative approach High ethical standards with demonstrated integrity, fairness, and sound judgment Talent for coaching and team development, building alignment, and leading through change Application and About If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the ''''Apply'''' button to send your resume directly to Jason Dick, Andre Donado or Bobi-Jo Warner.
