We are seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to lead procurement operations, inventory planning, and vendor management while ensuring efficient movement of goods from international suppliers to our distribution network. Key Responsibilities Oversee all procurement activities including purchase order management, supplier coordination, and cost control Build and maintain strong vendor relationships with international and domestic suppliers Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and supplier agreements Monitor supplier performance including lead times, quality, and delivery reliability Inventory Planning & Control Lead company-wide inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels across retail stores, ecommerce, and warehouse locations Implement disciplined inventory management practices including safety stock planning, reorder point management, and inventory turnover optimization Identify slow-moving and inactive inventory and work with leadership to develop clearance or exit strategies Partner with finance and operations teams to improve inventory accuracy and working capital efficiency International Procurement & Logistics Manage overseas sourcing and procurement, primarily from Asia and the United States Oversee ocean freight planning, container utilization, and import logistics to ensure efficient movement of goods Monitor freight costs, landed cost calculations, and vendor factors to maintain margin integrity Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to manage inbound shipments and delivery schedules ERP Procurement Systems & Process Improvement Utilize Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central to manage purchasing workflows, inventory planning, and replenishment Improve procurement processes through better use of ERP planning tools, forecasting methods, and reporting Maintain accurate item, vendor, and cost data within the ERP system Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency through process improvements and better system utilization Product Line Support Support the introduction of new products by coordinating procurement planning, supplier setup, and inventory availability Work closely with leadership on inventory projections for new product launches and store expansions Inventory Accuracy & Physical Counts Oversee company-wide inventory control processes including cycle counts and annual physical inventory Ensure strong inventory accuracy standards across warehouse and retail locations Qualifications Experience 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management 5+ years of leadership experience within retail, distribution, or import-based businesses Experience managing overseas procurement and containerized freight is strongly preferred Experience within the tools, hardware, home improvement, or industrial supply sectors is considered a strong asset Technical Skills Strong expertise in inventory planning, demand forecasting, and replenishment management Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Business Central Strong understanding of landed cost calculations, freight economics, and vendor cost management Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Leadership & Personal Attributes Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Strong operational mindset with the ability to execute and improve processes Ability to lead and develop procurement and inventory teams Comfortable working in a fast-moving retail and ecommerce environment Strong communication and cross-department collaboration skills Why This Role Matters Busy Bee Tools continues to expand its product lines, retail presence, and ecommerce capabilities.
