As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the fleet of trailers and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization. Pay Range: $40 - $45 per hour Shift: Morning Shift Whats the Job? Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on all trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct all levels of preventive maintenance functions, including trailer repairs and equipment inspections. Perform electrical diagnostics, repairs, and replacements as needed. Utilize the companys maintenance system to create, maintain, and complete work orders and vehicle maintenance records. Lead and assist with parts purchasing, inventory management, receiving, and proper charge out of parts to work orders. Whats Needed? Minimum of 4 years of experience in fleet trailer maintenance and repair (up to 2 years can be credited for technical training/schooling). Knowledge and understanding of FMCSRs and DOT Compliance. Air brake certification. Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers.
