Are you a detail-driven Project Control Officer experienced in supporting large-scale, high-impact IT and healthcare initiatives? This hybrid role based in Toronto requires 3 days onsite and 2 remote each week. It is a contract opportunity for an initial term of 8 months, with the possibility of a one-time extension depending on available contract funds. You will collaborate closely with project managers, technical teams, and external partners to coordinate planning, manage schedules, monitor risks, and deliver impactful reports. Advantages Work with high-profile healthcare initiatives Hybrid role: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Hands-on use of industry-leading project management tools (Jira, MS DevOps, Planview) Support large-scale digital transformation projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders Responsibilities Support the coordination and execution of core project activities across cross-functional teams Manage integrated project schedules, risk logs, and detailed task tracking Assist in maintaining dashboards, project plans, and executive reporting documentation Monitor project budgets, track timelines, and identify risks or delays Collaborate with internal teams to clarify expectations and support stakeholder communication Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives Prepare change requests, issue logs, and ensure proper knowledge transfer documentation Maintain project documentation using DevOps Wiki and reporting tools Support compliance with I&IT standards and Unified Project Methodology Qualifications Must Have: Experience with Agile delivery (backlog management, sprints, velocity tracking) Strong hands-on skills in project tools like MS Project, Planview, Jira, or Azure DevOps Proven background working in healthcare-related public sector projects Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed schedules, track deliverables, and assist with budget monitoring Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills Nice to Have: Familiarity with immunization systems and public sector health data projects Scrum Master certification or equivalent Agile credentials Understanding of clinical IT systems like Client and Provider Registries Experience with OPS gating processes, EA artifacts, and standard development methodologies Strong conflict resolution, consulting, and team facilitation skills Summary This role is ideal for an organized, analytical Project Control Officer who thrives in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
