Job Title: Information Management Consultant Location: Edmonton, AB (Remote) Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension) Pay Rate: CAD 90-100/Hour +HST The Data Centre of Excellence requires a resource to assist with the leading and supporting the design and development of data services to enable as part of the (GOA)s use of its vision of a federated data ecosystem to enable to better leverage its data assets. These services will enable GoAs data needs such as analysis, analytics, exchange, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), orchestration, storage, processing, etc. The successful candidate will be an IMT consultant with a diverse range of data management skill sets and experience in working in a multi-faceted roles. The role may have aspects of any or all the following: leading, strategizing, planning, consulting, advising, coaching, change management, project management, service design and delivery. There may be aspects of technology analysis, technical analysis, and business analysis. Duties: Can span activities related to information management and technology development and strategic planning, project definition, program communication, providing leadership to project teams, facilitating strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, conducting business process reengineering activities and facilitating executive discussions on strategic matters. Provides leadership, advice and direction on the following strategic areas and initiatives that are being undertaken as part of the Data Strategy. Services and project deliverables should evolve as the work progresses, in response to emerging user and business needs, as well as design and technical opportunities. Data Platform services Generative and agentic artificial intelligence services Orchestration between data platform, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence services Data management services DevSecOps services Works with the Manager Data Services to: Design and establish enable data and artificial intelligence service offerings Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations Advance the current OneData Alberta Strategy, tactical plan, and roadmap, to enhance the end-user experience similar to the Amazon marketplace. Generate ideas and develop strong visual assets to support and advance the OneData Alberta strategy and roadmap. Create and present options, roadmaps, frameworks, models, and briefings for senior executives with regards to data management services, based on best and emerging practices and principles. Deliver cross-Ministry roadshows and demonstrations to senior executives to support OneData Alberta and gain traction. Facilitate strategic conversations to develop shared understanding and generate options for decisionmaking to align diverse stakeholder interests and goals. Develop baseline and ongoing outcomes, key results, metrics, and other indicators. Advise and coach product and platform teams throughout project lifecycles, from initial discovery and concept to production and continuous improvement. Job Description Education Requirements (Must Meet One of the Following) University Degree in Computing Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Engineering (ENG), Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline AND 6 years of progressive related experience. 2Year Diploma in CS, IT, ENG, MIS, or a related discipline AND 8 years of progressive related experience. 1Year Certificate in CS, IT, ENG, MIS, or a related discipline AND 9 years of progressive related experience. 10 years of progressive related experience (no formal education required). Mandatory Work Experience AI and Advanced Analytics Integration 5 Years Experience architecting and integrating AI, ML, and analytics services into enterprise or government data platforms to support largescale orchestration, analysis, and processing. Project and Change Management 3 Years Experience managing endtoend delivery of complex IMT (Information Management & Technology) projects, including solution reviews, progress tracking, risk management, and adoption/change planning. IMT Service Design and Delivery 7 Years Experience leading the design, architecture, and delivery of IMT services and roadmaps using usercentered and agile methodologies to meet evolving business requirements. Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation 3 Years Experience facilitating strategic discussions with executives and crossministry teams to align stakeholder needs with architectural priorities and business objectives. Strategic Data Management Expertise 5 Years Experience designing and implementing enterprise data management frameworks, governance models, and lifecycle processes for environments equivalent in size and complexity to a large publicsector organization. Strategic Planning & Business Analysis 5 Years Experience developing business cases, feasibility studies, risk assessments, scope definitions, and detailed project/program plans. Work Experience DevSecOps for Data Environments 3 Years Experience architecting, maintaining, and orchestrating secure automated CI/CD pipelines for data and AI services to enable rapid and compliant deployments. Experience with cloud ecosystems and their native data services, including storage, compute, analytics, and data management tools, with the ability to leverage these services for scalable and secure operations. Generative & Agentic AI 1 Year Experience designing and implementing emerging generative AI and agent-based AI solutions to improve automation and service delivery. Public Sector Data Policy & Compliance 3 Years Experience applying privacy, security, and compliance requirements to data and AI solutions to ensure lawful, ethical, and secure service delivery. Experience creating visually compelling deliverables, including architecture diagrams, service blueprints, journey maps, prototypes, business plans, program plans, strategic and operational plans, communication materials, and roadmaps.
