We are currently seeking a CAD Technologist to join our Building Structures Division to work out of our London office. MTE Consultants is a multidisciplinary engineering firm that has been shaping Ontario since 1985 with offices in Kitchener, Burlington, Toronto, London and Stratford. Our services include civil and structural engineering, building and environmental science, geotechnical engineering, and land surveying. Responsibilities Prepare structural drawings, including plans elevations, sections and details for a wide variety of commercial, industrial and residential building projects using current Revit and Autodesk CAD software Assist with field review of projects at the construction stage Assist with review of shop drawings, as needed Attend and participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of project deliverables Assist with Building Code (OBC) analysis and building permit process Additional duties, as assigned Requirements Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Construction 0-5 years of experience in a similar role (including coop experience) Working towards a C.E.T. or C.Tech. designation Proficient working knowledge of Revit modeling and experience with CAD Understanding of applicable design standards and general engineering principles Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, primarily Parts3 and9 and code matrix Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently on concurrent projects Valid Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle What we offer Youll work on impactful projects, engaging in private sites, land and public development projects across Stratford, Huron County and beyond.
