About this role As a Senior Manager, eCRM & Owned Channels at Skip, your leadership and strategic vision will be instrumental in orchestrating a high-performing team. Together, you will shape the future of Skips customer engagement campaigns and create unforgettable experiences for our customers, couriers, and partners. Comprehension of martech and orchestration tools will ensure your success as you lead the recommendation for customer experience in the marketing ecosystem; delivering the right message to the right customer at the right time, while fostering a test and learn mentality to drive growth and business success. We're looking for someone who can live our behaviours of lead, deliver and care, bring fresh ideas, challenge the status quo, and push for bold, creative solutions to drive the Skip vision forward. Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Toronto office & 2 days working from home Reporting to: Head of Engagement & Value Proposition These are some of the key components to the position: - Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Owned Channels Specialists. Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and nurture their professional growth. - Strategic Direction: Develop and communicate a clear and innovative strategy for Skip's owned channels, including email, push, Top Tile / Content Cards, in-app, and SMS, building a roadmap to deliver on team objectives, updated and shared at regular intervals - Ruthless Prioritization: Working cross functionally bring visibility to points of intersection and duplication, make recommendations that deliver the greatest impact to business value - Campaign Optimization: Ensure that campaign optimization efforts are executed effectively. Review and guide your team in analyzing data, A/B testing, and refining strategies to maximize engagement and ROI. - Data-Driven Decision-Making: Oversee the team's data analytics efforts, guiding them in extracting valuable insights from data. Use these insights to make informed decisions and enhance customer experience. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including marketing teams and senior leadership, to ensure seamless execution of campaigns. Influence decision-making by sharing data-driven insights and best practices. - Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on campaign performance. Regularly share performance reports with marketing teams and offer recommendations for improvement. - Technology and Tools Management: Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of owned channel campaigns. Encourage the team to use available MarTech stack tools to the fullest. Make recommendations for adopting new tools as needed. - Campaign Automation Strategies: Guide the implementation of marketing automation processes to streamline campaign execution, reducing manual work and allowing your team to focus on more strategic tasks. - Compliance and Best Practices: Guarantee that all campaigns adhere to relevant regulations and industry best practices, maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security. What will you bring to the team? You are a strong analytical thinker with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and have proficiency in data segmentation, list management, and database marketing - A Bachelors degree or equivalent - 5 to 8+ years of progressive experience in CRM, Direct Marketing, Retention Marketing, or Database Marketing, with a significant portion in a leadership or managerial role. - Real-Time Engagement Platform Mastery: Expert, hands-on proficiency with a platform built for real-time, event-triggered communications. - Mobile-First Messaging: Extensive experience with push notifications, in-app messaging, and SMS, beyond just email. - CDP / Data Utilization: Advanced skills in leveraging a Customer Data Platform (CDP), such as Salesforce Data Cloud, and Braze to create and activate highly granular segments based on real-time transactional and behavioral data (e.g., 'Customer who viewed Restaurant X's menu but did not order in the last 60 minutes') - Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate with non-marketing teams: Product: To request and integrate new features (e.g., deep linking, in-app preference centers). - Operations/Logistics: To use delivery status data (on-time, delayed) in communications. - Data Science: To deploy and leverage predictive models for personalized offers. - Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Braze and Movable Ink is an asset Why work at SKIP?
