Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patientcentered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some provincewide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Experience - Previous experience in Purchasing and Contracting within complex service organizations with diverse internal customers. - Three (3) years supervisory/management experience, preferably in a unionized environment. - Successful demonstration of strong communication abilities, conflict resolution skills, and change management. - Experience working within a printing environment would be a definite asset. Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience, as deemed recognized by the Hospital, may be considered in lieu of the above. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) - Degree or diploma in Business Administration from a recognized institution. SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS: - Successful completion of Level 3 of the Purchasing Management Associations Certified Professional Purchasing Program (CPP). - A sound knowledge of contract law as it applies to competitive bidding. - Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of various current and related software including spreadsheet, word processing, email and database applications. - Working knowledge of Crystal Report Writer would be an asset. - Working knowledge of and experience in using Purchasing software and EDI. Qualifications and Skills - Demonstrated analytical skills and judgment. - Excellent interpersonal skills are a necessity. - Ability to interact effectively with various levels of internal and external contacts. - Must be able to handle highly fastpaced situations. - Good organizational skills. - Ability to function in a teamoriented environment. - Strong commitment to quality and customer focused services. - Ability to apply creative approaches to problem solving and contract strategies. - Demonstrated leadership skills.
