Were currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, J2W 0L1. A lovely family in the Saint-Luc region is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 1.5yearold, with care beginning Friday, January 2, 2026. Backup support is needed intermittently when the childs daycare is closed or when the child is home sick. The family can typically provide several weeks notice for daycare closures, though there may be occasional lastminute requests for nextday care. Both parents will be home while care is being provided. Their child is curious, a bit timid, and enjoys outdoor play and reading. The home has a large, yet calm and friendly dogno pet care is required. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the familys requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position . Length of Position Ongoing, as needed Schedule Intermittent no guaranteed hours. Typical needs: MondayFriday, 7am4pm. Responsibilities Diaper changing Engaging with the child Requirements Minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience CPR certified, or willingness to become certified Legally authorized to work in Canada High School/Secondary diploma or equivalent Able to provide 2 childcarerelated references from a professional setting Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening French fluency (child only speaks French) Compensation $25$30 CAD per hour.
