Mount Allison University invites applications for the position of Head Coach, Womens Soccer, competing in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) and U SPORTS. The Head Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and administration of the Womens Soccer program. This includes coaching, recruitment, studentathlete development, program planning, and community engagement. The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and highintegrity team culture aligned with Mount Allisons commitment to academic excellence, student experience, and leadership development through sport. Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, the Head Coach plays a key role in advancing Athletics as a strategic contributor to the Universitys mission while supporting the holistic success of studentathletes. The role also supports the continued growth of Womens Soccer at Mount Allison through communitybased development initiatives and seasonal youth programming. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Coaching Lead and coach a competitive AUS Womens Soccer program Develop and implement annual and longterm highperformance plans Plan and deliver technical, tactical, physical, and psychological preparation for competition Provide ongoing feedback and mentorship to support athletic and personal development Recruit, select, and retain academically qualified U SPORTScaliber studentathletes Recruit, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff StudentAthlete Experience & Administration Foster a team culture that prioritizes academic success, wellbeing, and personal growth Monitor academic progress and collaborate with campus support services Promote leadership, citizenship, and community engagement among studentathletes Program Administration Assist with budget planning and responsible management of program resources Coordinate team travel, scheduling, facilities, and equipment needs Ensure compliance with Mount Allison, AUS, U SPORTS, and Safe Sport policies Support fundraising, alumni engagement, and program promotion initiatives Community & University Engagement Represent Mount Allison positively within the soccer community locally, provincially, and nationally Participate in departmental initiatives, recruitment events, and university outreach Contribute to youth camps and development opportunities aligned with Mount Allisons community engagement goals Qualifications / Skills Minimum three (3) years of highperformance soccer coaching experience Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop studentathletes Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of contemporary coaching practices and athlete development Commitment to studentathlete wellbeing, equity, and Safe Sport principles Experience coaching in U SPORTS, AUS, or comparable postsecondary environments is an asset NCCP National B License (or equivalent) is an asset Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required Valid drivers license Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening If you are interested in the challenges and opportunities this position has to offer, we want to hear from you!
